HomeBridge would like to remind brokers of the following now that the government shutdown is over.
General Information
• USDA Guaranteed Rural Housing loans may now proceed as normal; GUS is available for underwriting decisions and Loan Guarantees are being issued.
• VA is now available to help with Certificate of Eligibility issues.
Verbal Verification of Employment for Government Employees
A VVOE may now be obtained for borrowers who are a government employee and loan closings will proceed once the VVOE is received.
Tax Transcripts
Brokers should begin ordering tax transcripts for all new submissions. HomeBridge will continue to allow loans scheduled for closing to close without tax transcripts on an exception basis while tax transcript services are restored. HomeBridge will provide additional guidance on this topic in the near future.
